This month we’re focusing on the Business pathway, and how they help students with connecting to their majors and getting to know others in similar majors/programs, opportunities available for their chosen career path, and all kinds of other wonderful things!
As a student of Reedley College, you’re part of a pathway, even if you don’t know it! There are seven pathways at this school - Art, Music, and English (AME), Agriculture & Natural Resources (AGNR), Business (BUS), Early Childhood & Education (ECE), Industrial & Manufacturing (IND), Social Sciences (SS), and STEM. Each student is divided into a different pathway based on their major, and their pathway helps them with a multitude of things in their educational journey. They tell students about events or resources that may help them as students, give them a chance to connect with people in their major or similar majors, hold events for students to learn more about opportunities available in their field of study, and more.
This pathway is for students who wish to learn about the Business and Industry using skills in leadership, organizing, finance and working with people.

The Business Success Team
Daniel Morales - Intervention Specialist
I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy and Management from USC and a Master’s Degree in Information Systems from Cal State Los Angeles. As part of a member of the Business Success Team my role is that of an Intervention Specialist. Some of my responsibilities are to direct students to academic support programs and services, communicate and work with students to support their success, monitor data for the purposes of student retention and plan student engagement activities. Outside of work, I enjoy exercising and spending time with my family. Currently I’m the assistant coach to both of my daughters’ soccer teams. The games and practices keep us really busy. I love working at Reedley College because I enjoy connecting with students and helping them achieve their goals. Seeing students develop over time brings me great satisfaction and I feel that I’m making a positive impact in their lives.
Susie Jimenez - Counselor
I attended Fresno State and earned a degree in Sociology. For my masters, I went to Fresno Pacific and earned a degree in Educational Counseling. I was a K-12 counselor for 10 years before I became a college counselor. I’ve been at Reedley College for 6 years. As a member of the business pathway, I help students complete their student education plan in the areas of business, information systems and office technology. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and listening to audio books. What I like best working at Reedley College is working with great people and being able to help my students achieve their goals. Counseling is my calling and I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I love.
