APRIL 2025 Moving Forward! SCCCD TUTOR EXPO Keeps the Creative Juices flowing!

Happy Spring! We are now officially past mid-terms and powering through to the finish line of our courses. We want to remind everyone that all RC Tutoring Centers are open daily and ready to help! Scheduling an appointment at the RWC has never been easier. We have sessions available both in-person and via Zoom, we are looking forward to helping students succeed! In the meantime, one of the ways our tutors keep up to date is by participating in the Annual SCCCD Tutor Expo. Each year, one of our four colleges hosts a day-long tutor event. Fresno City College hosted this year’s Tutor Expo on Saturday, March 29th. Two hundred seventy-five tutors , coordinators, faculty, and staff attended. This year’s theme was the FUNdamentals of Tutoring: Making Tutoring Engaging and FUN.

The Expo is a chance to share information about tutoring and get to know student workers from other campuses. Tutors share presentations and poster boards on a wide array of topics, spanning digital tutoring tools to physical learning games and everything in between. This month's Paper Jam is a recap of the RC RWC tutor's presentations and the information we provided to other SCCCD tutors. We want you to know that there are many ways to learn and many people who are dedicated to helping students succeed. We hope you enjoy learning about different tutoring strategies as much as we did.
