r/Am I overreacting? -My Dad won't give me some of their food, and it makes me feel like he doesn't love me
I don't see why I cannot have a tiny bit of the food my dad eats; I only want a little bit. They claim it's because "I'll just ask for more," but they are my caretaker. It is his job to give me food. He can't honestly think that two full meals and a couple treats are enough to keep me healthy, right? Doesn't he love me?! Grandpa gives me bits of his food whenever I ask. Why is my dad so resistant to sharing? Am I being unreasonable? How do I convince my dad that I should not be starved?
r/Am I the Jerk– I keep "stealing" footwear from my family
Apparently, my family has issues with the fact that I like to collect shoes and sandals and put them in my crate or bed. I just like the way they smell and taste. Am I not allowed to have interests? If anything, it's rude of them to ruin my collection and call me an "evil stinky baby" or an outright thief. It hurts my feelings that my family does not support my hobby and actively work to undo my hard work. I actually think that if me taking their shoes is such a problem they should just hide them better.
r/Petty Revenge – My dad gave me yucky medicine so I ruined his sleep
My father took me to the vet after I had been sick the last few days which was its own betrayal. But he further showed his cruelty when he forced me to ingest "anti-nausea" medication, though I suspect it was actually poison. He then gave me a treat as if that could erase the trauma he inflicted onto me. So that night I got vengeance by not allowing him to sleep. I would periodically whimper and paw at him to which he would then take me outside to do my business. Only, instead of going to the bathroom, I would either bark at my nemesis or run back to the door. I would repeat this several times throughout the night watching as my dad's face grew weary and his patience thin. Then I would finally go to sleep at approximately 5 in the morning.
