Valentine's Day is a day of love and admiration, but did you know February 14th is also International Book Giving Day? It's exactly as its name says, a day to give books! This is a great idea for giving your loved ones meaningful books they'll appreciate! There's a multitude of romance books out there for everyone to enjoy.
This day is also meant to give books to children who do not have access to them. There are countless children who love to read but are not fortunate enough to obtain these books. International Book Giving Day aims to change this and give these kids the opportunity to get some books!
How exactly would you be able to partake in this event? You can participate by donating to charities that focus on giving to kids in need. You can also donate any old books in your possession to different locations that accept them. This includes places like a local library, and prison book programs. Or even Goodwill! Overall, the main goal is to show appreciation by giving books to others!
Here is a list of literacy charities you can donate to who would give to kids in need!
