The temperatures are hot, and the air is smoky in the last weeks of August and early September. The Central Valley is not a place for the faint-hearted this time of year! Thankfully, those of us here on campus again can count ourselves lucky to have both air conditioning and air purifiers in our classrooms and offices. As face-to-face instruction slowly returns, it has been beyond wonderful to see our friends and colleagues back on campus. While many of us are still dealing with the Zoom-o-sphere (!) for coursework, there is a feeling of hope that eventually there will be even more people returning to campus.
Meanwhile, mask mandates are in place and there is hand sanitizer in every classroom and public space. We want to do our part to make sure there is no spread of COVID-19 or any of its variants. As of October 15th, anyone visiting the RC campus will have to show evidence of vaccination. Information will be forthcoming in your student portal.
We here in the RC RWC are looking forward to reconnecting with all of you and hope you enjoy our September edition of Paper Jam. We know you will find useful and entertaining information as you seek to improve your OWN literacy skills!
